Falsehood Virus

There are many ways to look at the character and behaviour Indonesia’s people. Movies and dramas is one of them. If our movies and dramas contain more lies, while the audience was happy and enjoying it, then we live in a falsehood lovers society. Or even ourself is part of the falsehood. Acute flasehood disease virus already spread anywhere.

 

Falsehood and lies become character of life in almost all part. Many terrible accident in mass tranportation in recent year is a product of falsehood. Airplanes, ships, trains, city buses, public tranportation and many other considerably not road worthy. But the agencies that have the otority didn’t bother with that issue. Eligibility license nonetheless issued. Fake eligibility license, of course. Countries experiencing impotence and can’t protect society from the decaying system and transportation tools. The country also impotent in other fields.

Modern lifestyles, economic growth, even religious behaviour was shown full of falsehood. In politics, falseness occur more craze. Making the law, government regulation, to the minister regulation is the examples of how falsehood has been possessed in elite level so affect on the further degradation of public life.

In our mind we as ordinary people , UU, PP, or regulation is a public policy that is based on the ideal norms for the public benefit. Policy makers assumed someone who have personality and orientation that always dedicated to public. In fact it is not. UU, PP, and the others is a political elites concern and game product. Legislation more made based on the creator necessity. Not for people welfare.

The appear of the issue and Rp. 2.5 M from the Association Council to smooth the clause 'rapelan' in the preparation of PP 37/2006 is not surprising. All this time, the UU process is always loaded with allegations of selling clause. Public have known that the price or cost of an clause in the UU can reach millions of rupiah for one member of legislature. That means, the cost of making UU from the preparation , the discussion until the ratification could reach billions rupiahs. Delayed process of drafting and discussion RUU Privileges of DIY for years, it could be also caused by less support for the RUU budget.

A huge cost in the manufacture of UU indicates two important things. First, the policy makers assume that making UU is a project that can be manipulated to get financial benefits, both for personal or political groups. Second, because the focus is more on the orientation of the making UU but financial benefits, attention about substance matter and public needs as a regulated subject are not considered as important.

that was wrong if we imagine that those who are in the center of power ( there is executive or legislative ) those who matter of society. and also mistaken if people of region hope that officials in Jakarta are those who always thinking and work hard to promote the region. although that working in department or directorate that cares their region, they didn't even fully understand of the various problems in the region. moreover, think and act to promote their region.

legislators in the center mostly busy taking care of the problems that are likely to bring benefits for themselves during his heyday of five years, or bring long term of benefit to their party. some friends who are the members of parliament have complained about the performance of his colleagues. either because systemic reasons or because of the limitations of the individual. most members of parliament are not working for society but they are busy with their own problems.

how should we fix these problems ? surely we're agree that the virus falsity must be completely destroyed. but, where we must start it ? there are no easy solutions for the short term. strengthening political awareness of the people of the society becomes one important aspect. if our politicians in legislature didn't side with the society, so dont select their party. how about those who sit as officials in government ? we just hope that the president ( and the staff who competent and dedicated at all levels ) could be realize their promise to be more firm in the management of government and society services.
